Since we’ve come to the second circle of INFERNO, and since we’re starting down through several cantos that click off some of the seven deadly sins, let’s begin a discussion of what these sins are (lust, gluttony, avarice, sloth, anger, envy, and pride) and why there are seven of them and why they present more theological problems than they answer.
