About The Book Group Sponsored By The Norfolk Connecticut library

If we met in person, we’d meet here. But read down to find out what’s happened to the group over the last few years.

BECAUSE OF COVID, THE NORFOLK BOOK GROUP MOVED ONLINE. WE BECAME AN INTERNATIONAL GROUP AND REMAIN ONLINE.

WE MEET VIA ZOOM ON SELECT THURSDAYS. THERE ARE MORNING AND EVENING SESSIONS FOR EACH OF THE TITLES. CHOOSE WHICHEVER YOU PREFER.

WE STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ONE-OFF ATTENDANCE. THIS IS AN ON-GOING BOOK GROUP AND WORKS BEST WHEN THE PARTICIPANTS GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND CAN ENHANCE THE DISCUSSION.

TO GET AN INVITATION TO THE ZOOM SESSIONS, CONTACT THE NORFOLK LIBRARY. EMAIL INVITATIONS TO THE ZOOM DISCUSSIONS ARE SENT TO THE PRIVATE LIST TO AVOID ZOOMBOMBING.

THE SCHEDULE CAN BE FOUND DOWN THIS PAGE.

Who We Are: A reading group sponsored by the library in Norfolk, Connecticut.

Who Can Join: Anyone. Anytime.

What We Do: We read books--then discuss, analyze, push the boundaries of what we believe, what we know, and what we want to know.

Where We Meet: Via zoom.

When We Meet: See the schedule below. Essentially, select Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (15:30 GMT) and 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (00:30 GMT). You can choose to attend either session.

Who I Am: Mark Scarbrough, an erstwhile Southerner living in the New England chill and an erstwhile lit professor who chucked it all to become a full-time writer. To find out how that story turned out, click here.
